Oil-Conserving Protector Fryer Is Newest Addition To Frymaster's Fit Frying Program

October 5th, 2007

SHREVEPORT, La. – Frymaster, LLC’s new Protector™ fryer is the latest addition to the company’s efforts to help its foodservice customers find their optimal healthy frying solution. A smaller frypot with the same production capacity as frypots almost twice its size and features that maximize oil life, contribute savings that can offset the cost of healthier, more expensive tran fat-free oils.

“The Protector is another step toward Frymaster’s goal of helping operators serve the best-tasting and most healthful fried foods possible,” Humphreys said. “It’s a new, integral part of our industry-leading Fit Frying program, which helps operators meet consumer demands for healthier foods through equipment and technology solutions, and education.”

The Fit Frying program is built on the premise that more healthful frying results by:
• Choosing the right oil to increase healthy menu offerings, while reducing use of trans fatcontaining partially hydrogenated oils.
• Choosing the right fryer to cook the types of foods on your menu, to produce higherquality and more healthful food and to extend oil life.
• Following the right cooking process to minimize by-products produced during frying that degrade oil quality and reduce oil life.
• Establishing the right maintenance program to extend oil and equipment life, save money and ensure the quality of fried foods.

“It’s all about helping operators capitalize on the popularity and maximize the potential of fried foods on their menus,” says Humphreys. “If we’ve helped our customers please their guests while frying in the healthiest way possible, then we’ve accomplished our goal.”

Frymaster’s Fit Frying website (www.fitfrying.com) provides a broad range of information designed to help operators identify their fit frying solution, and to keep abreast of frying-related news as well as regulatory developments and best practices from across the country.

“We want to be the commercial foodservice industry’s go-to partner for fit frying solutions, for the better health of our customers and their customers over the long term,” said Humphreys.
