Frying Masters Celebrates 15th Anniversary, 2000 Graduates

August 25th, 2008

Frymaster, LLC, commemorated the 15th anniversary of the Frying Masters training program with a special one-day class for Bunge Oils on June 11, 2008. Over 50 representatives from Bunge’s sales and research and development teams were trained on Frymaster products and their applications, joining more than 2,000 previous participants as Frying Masters graduates.

“Since its inception 15 years ago, the Frying Masters program has grown from purely educating attendees on how to best sell and market Frymaster products to addressing the current issues related to healthier frying,” said Brenda Fried, vice president of marketing for Frymaster. “The 15th anniversary class with Bunge represents the next evolution of Frying Masters classes—working with Frymaster’s strategic partners to explore the interaction between the oil, the food, and the fryer in pursuit of solutions for better frying.”

"The Frying Masters training class enabled the Bunge Oils Sales team the opportunity to not only understand the latest trends and solutions available in deep frying equipment but also gain hands-on experience of the complementary role oil and equipment play in a back-of-the-house restaurant environment,” said Bill McCullough, director of marketing.  Adds Tom Coover, vice president of sales and marketing, Bunge Oils, “From the time we were greeted at the front door to the awards ceremony in the evening where we received our Frying Master diplomas, the Bunge team was treated like family.  Frying Masters was incredibly valuable for all -regardless of experience level...a must for anyone who works in the oils and frying industry.  It could not have been executed any better by the superb team of Frymaster trainers and staff! "

Frymaster, an Enodis company, hosts four Frying Masters classes annually, each averaging 15 to 25 participants. Taught by Frymaster employees from the sales, marketing, and service divisions, the two-day program covers the Frymaster family of products and how they work within the four factors for fit frying: selection of the correct fryer, the right oil, the right cooking process, and proper equipment maintenance. The most popular session is the hands-on cooking class where participants have the opportunity to prepare food concepts using various pieces of Frymaster and Dean equipment.

Participants range from manufacturer sales representatives, dealers, and Frymaster employees, to other foodservice manufacturers, chain operators, service technicians, and utility specialists.
