Frymaster is awarded the 2010 Partnership Award for Innovative Energy Solutions

March 11th, 2010

SHREVEPORT, LA. – March 11, 2010 – Frymaster® was awarded the 2010 Partnership Award for innovative energy solutions by Energy Solutions Center (ESC) at the Technology and Market Assessment Forum held in February, in Dallas, Texas.

When research within the foodservice industry indicated there was a need for a gas deep fat fryer with reduced energy costs, improved performance, and reduced oil volume Frymaster responded by developing the new Protector® low-oil-volume fryer, requiring only 30 pounds of oil to fill while offering the same production capacity as a 50-pound fryer. 40% less oil is used every time the frypot is filled.

To help the Protector fryer gain broad market acceptance, Frymaster collaborated with the Gas Technology Institute, a not-for-profit research and development company that helped set up and manage operator field demonstration tests of the Protector in various sponsor location sites. The ESC Partnership Award acknowledges Frymaster’s success in developing an innovative fryer that contributes to a secure, abundant, and affordable energy future.
